课程概况:
一木中文采用小班制,根据各年龄段学习需求自设课程,采用全中文沉浸式主题渐进教学法,每学期学习一个主题,教学内容涵盖绘本,故事,儿歌,古诗,文学经典等。因为坚信适合孩子们的好教材应当不拘一格,与时俱进,因此一木中文不使用固定教材,会选取最适合主题教学的文本自编为教材,并在教学中提供所有学习资料
Course Details:
Yimu Chinese offers Chinese lessons to pupils from 4-18 years old in a fun and effective way. We customise our lessons based on children’s learning abilities. Our language course aims to build a consolidated foundation in KS1 and KS2, moving forward to KS3, we facilitate pupils to achieve their best results in GCSE Chinese exams. Some of our former pupils choose to continue their studies in A-level and universities.

I hold a First-Class Honours degree in Design from Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London, and have accumulated significant teaching experience at various art institutions and studios in London, successfully assisted students achieving Art Scholarship from Francis Holland, Queens Gate, and etc. My expertise spans multiple painting media, including oil, watercolour, sketching, acrylic, coloured pencils, and digital painting.
With over 12 years of experience in art education, I am passionate about combining technical skills with creative thinking. My goal is to provide students with a comprehensive and diverse art education that nurtures their creativity while developing their observational and manual skills. I graduated from the London college of Communication at the University of the Arts London with distinction's degree, majoring in Graphic Branding and Identity, and successfully completed my studies with all A grades. Prior to that, I completed my high school education at the Cambridge School of Visual & Performing Arts with excellent academic results. I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Design for Art Direction at the University of the Arts London, focusing on cross-media storytelling, visual strategy, and cultural expression.
In my upcoming role, I will serve as a substitute teacher for art education, assisting with curriculum planning and classroom delivery. I aim to integrate language learning with hands-on creative activities, guiding children to understand cultural meaning and aesthetic awareness through practice.
I specialize in mixed-media art and am skilled in a variety of mediums, including sketching, quick drawing, acrylic painting, watercolor, and printmaking. Each medium offers unique expressive qualities: sketching and quick drawing sharpen observation, acrylic and watercolor emphasize color and emotional expression, and printmaking reveals the beauty of texture and graphic repetition.
I enjoy incorporating these media into my teaching, encouraging children to explore and express their creativity in diverse ways. I was awarded first place in the color category in Jiangsu Province, China, and this strong sense of color has become a key strength in my educational approach. My teaching style is rooted in the belief that art education is not only about developing technical skills, but also about fostering emotional connection and independent thinking. I encourage children to explore the world in their own way, to tell stories from their unique perspectives, and to express their inner thoughts through visual language. My teaching experience has come from listening to comparing children’s ideas to adults and applying a comprehensive plan of creating handicrafts to reflect Chinese culture. Activities are created to ensure they meet the needs and abilities of all who take part.
